Michigan QB Patterson inks deal with Texas Rangers

It appears Shea Patterson has a solid backup plan if football doesn't work out for him, as the Michigan quarterback signed a deal with the Texas Rangers to play in 2019, a source told Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press.

Despite not playing baseball since high school, he was taken in the 39th round of June's MLB draft by the American League West outfit.
