Former SEC commissioner Mike Slive dies at age 77

The SEC announced on Wednesday that former commissioner Mike Slive died in Birmingham at the age of 77.

Slive was the seventh commissioner in the conference's history and was one of the most accomplished leaders in collegiate athletics during his tenure from 2002-15.

Under his watch, the SEC expanded to 14 members, adding Missouri and Texas A&M, and also launched the SEC Network. Slive's work...
